Over the past 10 years there’s been a massive focus on Health & Safety in NZ. However, if you really look closely it’s been about safety, not so much health. Companies are growing in their awareness of their need to invest in the wellbeing of their key staff. If the staff are functioning well in all of life, i.e. their mental health, relationships, conflict management and self-leadership….then they will be better employees.
Every employer wants to have a good relationship with staff, but also needs to see results. The idea of getting the balance right between results and relationships is not new. Coaching leaders is most difficult in organizations where the accountability to deliver results is very high.
